Language courses in Chinese

Most people in China speak Mandarin Chinese, or 普通话 (pinyin putonghua).  If you study Chinese, be warned: it's a difficult but rewarding task.  The three most important aspects of learning Chinese are tones, tones and tones.  You MUST learn the four tones and use them appropriately, otherwise people will misunderstand you.  Nothing is more painful than listening to someone speak Chinese with the wrong tones or even worse, no tones.
